HUMAN POWERED VEHICLE (HPV) This project is centered around an annual competition between schools. The idea is to create alternative transportation that could be used to replace cars without the use of motors to propel the vehicle in any way, but still retain much of the functionality of cars.
Mini HPV is our community outreach project that we are currently working on. The project is to create a miniature version of our previous HPV's so that we can take it to events, so the children attending events can have the chance to ride the vehicle on their own.
STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION (SDC)
The Student Design Competition is a design competition organized by the national ASME to give engineering students a feel for a design project. The competition changes every year but always is focused on the design process. This event also takes place at the Student Development Conference.
RC BAJA The RC Baja competition requires students to design and build a drive train system for a remote control car. The team competes at the Student Professional Development Conference.
